An independent research group examining criminal justice data, policy, and practice across England and Wales.
Our work draws on publicly available data, freedom of information requests, and published policy documents to support evidence-based analysis of how the criminal justice system operates in practice.
Focus Areas
We are particularly interested in the investigation and handling of serious offences, including how cases are recorded, resourced, and progressed by police forces. Our research considers policing data, staffing, and operational practices with the aim of contributing to informed public discussion.
Approach
Our research relies on information obtained through lawful and transparent means, including freedom of information requests submitted to public authorities. We aim to present findings objectively and in context.
